病院自爆テロ 死者は70人に 複数の組織が犯行声明

パキスタン南西部クエッタで起きた自爆テロの犠牲者はさらに増え、約70人となりました。また、複数の過激派組織が犯行声明を出しています。

ロイター通信などによりますと、自爆テロは8日、別の場所で銃撃されて死亡した弁護士が搬送された病院で発生しました。爆発は救急病棟の入り口付近で発生し、当時、現場には弔問に訪れた弁護士やメディア関係者ら約200人が集まっていました。

これまでに約70人が死亡し、100人以上がけがをしています。この自爆テロについて、過激派組織「パキスタン・タリバン運動」の関連組織が犯行声明を出しました。一方で、過激派組織「イスラム国」の通信社は「『イスラム国』の殉教者が爆発させた」などと報じています。

More than 50 people have been killed and dozens injured in a bomb attack in Pakistan’s south-western city of Quetta.

Reports say an attacker detonated his explosive device at a civil hospital soon after the body of the slain former president of Balochistan Bar Association was brought in. Bilal Anwar Kasi was shot dead by unknown assailants early in the morning. Many of the victims in the blast are reportedly lawyers and journalists who arrived in the hospital following Kasi’s shooting. Footage shows bodies strewn on the ground. No group or individual has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Balochistan has been experiencing violent incidents and targeted killings since over a decade ago. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has denounced the attack saying he is grieved over the loss of precious lives.

At least 53 people were killed and dozens injured after a bomb blast struck a gathering of lawyers at a civic hospital in Quetta in the Balochistan province of Pakistan, Monday, following the targetted killing of the President of the Balochistan Bar Association earlier in the day.

The blast, which was reportedly followed by gunfire, targetted a group of lawyers that had gathered at the hospital to mourn the murder of Bilal Kasi, the President of the Balochistan Bar Association, who was shot by unknown assailants while on the way to work earlier on Monday morning.

Local media, confirmed that lawyers and local media were among the casualties, with scores of lawyers and at least one cameraman killed in the blast. Pakistani authorities have stated that they suspect the blast was caused by a suicide bomber.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
